Brat Text Generator
Type a phrase and get the flat green, small-type look — no layers, no fonts to install, no design app.
Open the editorWhat it actually does
A brat text generator is a one-input tool: you supply the words, it supplies the type, the green and the margins. The output is a flat raster image, not a layered file, which is why it loads instantly on a phone and exports at print resolution.
The only real decisions are the line, the typeface and the size. Everything else in this editor exists to keep those three honest: the fit engine shrinks type until the line clears the margins, and the advanced panel exposes the numbers if you would rather set them yourself.

Making one
- 01
Write the line
Two or three words fit comfortably at default size. Longer lines wrap onto a second row and the type shrinks to keep the block centred.
- 02
Choose a voice
Arial Narrow is the reference. The advanced panel adds condensed, mono, serif and display faces if you want the same proportion with a different accent.
- 03
Set the frame
Classic fills the viewport, which is what you want for a phone screenshot. Advanced gives exact 1:1, 4:5 and 5:4 frames for feeds and profiles.
- 04
Export or copy
Download a PNG or JPG at up to 2048 px, or copy the image straight to the clipboard and paste it into a chat.
Questions
- Is there a character limit?
- No hard limit. Past roughly six words at default size the type gets small enough that the image stops reading as a brat cover — that is a design limit, not a technical one.
- Does it work on a phone?
- Yes. The canvas sits at the top of the screen and stays there while the controls scroll underneath, so you always see the result at the size you will post it.
- Are the fonts installed on my device?
- Arial Narrow is a system font on Windows and macOS. Every other face is self-hosted and loads with the page, so the render is the same on any machine.
