Brat Text Generator With White Text
White on green, white on black, black on white — which combination still reads as Brat, and how to set it up.

The original Brat cover is black text on lime green. A white-text version swaps that to white type, usually on a black or dark background, or keeps the green and accepts the lower contrast.
White on #8ACE00 has a contrast ratio of roughly 1.9:1 — technically poor, and the reason it looks washed out. White on #000000 is 21:1, the maximum, which is why the inverted version usually looks sharper.
The third option is the one people often mean by “white Brat text”: keep the layout, invert it to a white background with black type. It reads clean and still looks like the template.

Three ways to do it
- 01
Inverted cover — white background
Set the background to #FFFFFF and the text to #000000. This is the cleanest result and the closest to the album’s proportions without the green.
- 02
White on black
Background #000000, text #FFFFFF. Maximum contrast, works well for lyrics, quotes and anything that has to survive a small thumbnail.
- 03
White on Brat green
Background #8ACE00, text #FFFFFF. Use a heavier font and pick words with thick strokes; thin text disappears into the green.
- 04
Match the type
Bebas Neue or Anton hold up best in white. Script and mono fonts lose their shape at small sizes, especially against a bright background.
- 05
Export and check
Download the PNG, then look at it on the platform you plan to post to. A preview at 100% is not the same as a compressed feed image.
Questions about white Brat text
- How do I make white Brat text?
- Open the text tool, set the text colour to #FFFFFF, and choose a background. Black gives the strongest contrast; Brat green gives the most recognisable look.
- Is white text on Brat green readable?
- Barely. The contrast ratio is about 1.9:1, well below the 4.5:1 that body text needs. It works for a large single word and fails for anything longer.
- Which font works best in white?
- Bebas Neue and Anton. Both have thick, even strokes that stay legible when the image is scaled down in a feed.
- Does a white background still look like Brat?
- Yes, if you keep the type, spacing and square framing. The white version reads as the same template inverted rather than a different style.
